Notes from fundraising teams who asked us to read their donor-app numbers before a major appeal or board review.
The assessment showed our Hari Raya appeal won first gifts, but the confirmation screen lost people who meant to set up monthly giving. We changed one receipt step and the next month’s recurring starts improved.

I appreciated that the brief admitted where the data was thin. Our older app events were messy; Appcornercore did not invent neat charts to hide that.
Priya S., operations manager, Johor education trust
Monthly packs keep our Tuesday fundraising huddle honest. We still argue about creative, but at least we argue from the same retention table.

Case note — Klang Valley education fund
Before a year-end double-match campaign, the fund asked for a Donor App Analytics Assessment covering twelve months of gifts. The brief highlighted a cohort of mid-level donors who opened the app after school-event reminders but rarely completed a second gift within 60 days.
Working with their developer, the team shortened the second-gift path and added a human thank-you call list for that cohort. The following quarter’s report showed stronger second-gift timing among that group. The board chair noted the walkthrough felt long — and asked for Monthly Donor Reporting afterward.
Case note — Penang health nonprofit
A Donation Funnel Review mapped stalls between clinic-story videos and the payment confirmation. The memo recommended delaying an optional survey until after the receipt. Abandoned gifts during the next clinic appeal fell, according to their internal count. The organisation later paused monthly reporting for two months during a leadership transition, then resumed.
