About Appcornercore
A small analytics practice in Ipoh reading donor-app behaviour for Malaysian nonprofits.
Why we exist
Nonprofits pour care into appeals, thank-you calls, and community events — then stare at raw export files that do not explain why second gifts stalled. Appcornercore grew from that gap: reading donor-app behaviour so fundraising leads can brief their boards with confidence.
Origin
The practice started in Ipoh after several years supporting education and health programmes across Perak and the Klang Valley. We noticed the same pattern: teams had a donor-facing app, energetic campaigns, and little time to sit with the gift history between appeals. Appcornercore is the desk that sits with those numbers.
How we work
We treat donor data as stewardship, not spectacle. Exports stay limited to what the engagement needs. Findings are written in fundraising language — cohorts, appeals, receipts — not product jargon. Walkthroughs leave room for the awkward questions boards actually ask.
People
Aisha Rahman leads assessments and board walkthroughs. She previously supported gift administration for a statewide education fund.
Daniel Khoo handles reporting packs and funnel memos, with a background in programme evaluation for community health groups.
We collaborate with your developers when recommendations need technical translation, but we remain an analytics practice — not an app studio.
Values
- Clarity over volume — fewer charts, clearer decisions
- Respect for donors — minimise personal data, maximise useful pattern
- Local cadence — Malaysian giving seasons, languages, and board rhythms shape our calendar
Community
When capacity allows, we offer pro-bono funnel sketches for Ipoh-based youth charities preparing their first digital giving week. Enquire early; seats are limited each year.
